For the 2018 playoffs, we needed designs that would get fans everywhere excited about the sport. To do that, we worked with various groups within the company - like digital, social and marketing - as well as external partners like the tracks and automakers. But because of the scope of this campaign, we needed to do more than make great visuals - we also needed to push our marketing message, support our strategic goals and maintain our brand guidelines. On NASCAR.com, we created a new Playoff Wallpaper Page and a branded Playoff Standings page, both optimized for mobile viewing to attract younger fans. On the social media side, we built animated .gifs for Twitter and custom branded graphics for our Instagram audience. Track signage had to be developed and internally we made infographics and other designs to promote our successes and support the competition group. This was a comprehensive, broad based effort to showcase the premiere event of our sport and we were able to integrate design skills across multiple platforms to get it done.
