Footprint creates recyclable and compostable plant-based products designed to replace the more than 300 million tons of single-use plastic waste we produce each year. As Footprint grew beyond its status as a tech and manufacturing startup, it needed a brand that reflects the ambition and urgency of this mission.
L+R designed an icon, wordmark, and brand identity that communicates the company’s unique combination of natural materials, human innovation, and technology. Centered around a custom wordmark and reimagining of the brand’s original leaf iconography, the result is an unmistakable brand that both communicates the company’s innovative approach to eliminating plastic from the ecosystem and distinguishes it from the greenwashed products that dominate consumer packaged goods.
