Face Manifesto

by Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design

During my research i explored the topic of facial memory, analyzed the impact of the different fators in the memory processing. My concept is based on a questionnaire and on a task given to the participants. The subjects had to associate facial details with previously seen full face images. The other part of the research consisted of creating simple, black-and-white graphic compositions. I developed these drawings into three-dimensional compositions. For the three-dimensional installations i created a fictional exhibition and environment (Mocak Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow). I further developed my project to apply the „Stefan Lengyel Excellence Scholarship” announced by the Moholy-Nagy University. I designed two workshop building, my first vision is a concept closely related to the exhibition, in which visitors can participate in the steps used in the project. This integrates a creative involvement, which creates social and cultural value. My second vision is completely abstract from the exhibition, which is mobile, can be used several locations, and would also function as a workshop location. From start to finish this project includes a lot of interaction kind, and based on people involved in the creating process.
