This editorial is for a new publication by NME, less focused on music and more on lifestyle. The brief was to create the masthead of the Vibes issue on punk, a front cover illustration and illustrate the article.
The challenge was to represent the essence of punk, through illustration that was spontaneous, handmade, and authentic without trying to follow the rules or be constrained by the frame. The audience is for music lovers, culture aficionados, who are seeking content that could enrich their lifestyle. This concept was inspired by the target audience who I identified as individuals with interests in multi-disciplinary art forms. These are well-educated people with a sound knowledge of music genres, looking to be inspired and challenged.
