Parkour Generation is running a four day festival in London called “Bounce/Dive/Drop”, and require an identity that represents the festival values of connection, togetherness and freedom of movement.
The design solution is influenced by tribal tattoos and the symbols/forms used in primitive writing. The idea was to emphasise the uniting experience parkour can offer, by creating a tribal feeling through the typography and signage. The typography reflects the multiple ways of approaching a building in parkour; and the concept embodies the movement and endless possibilities of parkour. The audience attending this festival likes to think outside the box. It ranges from children joining workshops to parents willing to step away from ‘the norm’, and identify with a new group, parkour professionals and interested amateurs.
