Clayground - Concept Work

by Shillington Education

Shillington College Brief: The Australian Ceramics Association wants to make an app to connect potters with each other, and allow them to share work, discover nearby classes, and watch lessons to learn remotely.
Solution: This project utilised Illustrator, Photoshop and Sketch App to complete the app branding, app flow wireframing and UX design. The core aim was to make the app emulate warm and inviting classroom environments so that kids and adults alike feel good about their progressing ceramics skills. A ball of clay named ‘Clayrissa’ is the app’s little mascot designed to encourage learning and sharing within the app's community. Various visuals were designed to refer to parts of ceramics, including the menu buttons made from vases and clay balls, along with the information grids and calendar alluding to clay wire cutters.
