REACH 2030 Action Plan

REACH (Regional Economic Action Coalition) unites public, private and civic leaders across the Central Coast of California with the goal to transform the quality of life in the area through an unprecedented regional pursuit of inclusive economic prosperity. A detailed strategic 2030 Action Plan was created that laid out the framework for job growth, increasing opportunity and the overarching goal of creating 15,000 more good-paying jobs by 2030.

The design layout needed to be impactful and clear while conveying a sense of urgency and seriousness. Dramatic bold headlines and big data callouts were used throughout and paired with sharp line elements and full page floods of color. The rich color palette was inspired by the diverse regional landscape, while line elements were pulled and expanded upon from the arrow element in the REACH logo. The contrast of black text and black blocks created a powerful visual aesthetic that worked well with the established color theme. The photography featured was intentionally forward-looking but remained familiar and relatable.

The REACH 2030 Action Plan was rolled out and presented to the public at a virtual kick-off event held this past July 2020.
