Phantom of the Opera Annual Exhibition

The goal was to come up with a concept to create a series of materials for an exhibition or conference based on an assigned theme. My theme was drama so I chose to create a Phantom of the Opera exhibition, this exhibition would be an exclusive one night event for which only a limited amount of people would receive an invitation. The exhibition would take place at the Opera National de Paris in the Palais Garnier, Paris, which is where Gaston Leroux original novel is set.

During this exclusive exhibition people would get a unique behind the scenes look at how the whole production is put together, from how the props are designed and made, to how costumes are designed, special effects, get a tour of the famous underground lake, and much more. At the end of the night they would go into the theater and get to see it all come together as they watch the production being preformed on stage.

For this event I designed am invitation, a catalog and a theater ticket for the performance. Both the ticket and the invitation are black and gold, and were printed on gold metallic paper. The cover has a two part design, the first part is a laser cut rose on black mat board, and the second part which goes behind the laser cut design, contains all the information in black ink and is also printed on gold metallic paper.
