Imagine that most of the globe was swallowed by water, and that part of the land that was left destroyed by numerous explosions. Humanity has survived, but has not survived one of the most important carriers of culture - a book. From the past, there are only 8 of them, and a few more magazines. Years passed, and what people after the "Great Catastrophe" can learn from these 8 books and how are they interpreted ?! It is about Leszek Kolakowski who describes such a situation so philosophically and grotesquely. And in my turn, I try to look at this story in different ways, through the prism of our time and history.
As a great philosopher Kolakowski show us, in this short text, almost all problem of our modern society: gender, racism, woman and man equality, ecology, fake news…
That’s why books like this push us to think about our future.
