You're Invited to Rockin' Reader Raves

by Headline Studio Massachusetts

Our annual invitation to Reader Raves, an event that celebrates the best of category winners voted by our readers, had to be remarkable and surprising. This year's theme was Rockin' Roll and we wanted to incorporate music into the invitation. We settled on creating a music player that had 3 dimensional elements and could play our theme song for this year. After many prototypes the final design was chosen to house the player. We used local suppliers when we could and produced 100 invitations..
Each player was hand assembled with the housing for the music player being wrapped in a red letterpress and embossed covering with the 3-D elements stacked using springs. The play button was embossed with silver foil.. The music player was then placed inside a custom box with our embossed logo and the invitation information on the inside cover.
The winners were thrilled with receiving the win and excited by the invitation. Many celebrated their win on social media with videos showcasing the invitation.
The music player was CNC cut from sheets of Ultraboard with the sound player circuit board sitting inside and was wrapped with paper letter pressed at Big Wheel Press in Easthampton, MA. The invitation card and individual pieces for the logo and 3-D elements were also embossed and printed at Big Wheel Press. The box with the logo foil printed on the front was built by United Box in Holyoke, MA .
Everything was hand assembled and delivered from our Springfield, MA offices.
