Online fast fashion retailing sustains the exponentially growing issue of extreme packaging waste, thereby highly frustrating consumers and dangerously threatening the planet. After research and iterations of user testing feedback, a high fidelity interactive mockup was formed from the cumulative insights. Our solution is Packed: a plug-in service that groups fashion shoppers of the same brand in the same area into joint orders. Through packaging consolidation, Packed attenuates wasted space to overall reduce the amount of packaging used, reaping huge environmental impacts. Additionally by joining a Packed order, shoppers can combine discounts between participants to save money. Incentivized to share started orders with friends, businesses will enjoy higher site traffic and lower cart abandonment. By aggregating orders of the same fashion brand in the same area into joint orders, Packed benefits the environment, consumer, and business.
