The Museum of Krystallos focuses on establishing a relationship between the viewer and nature’s beauty, with comprehensive historic and scientific knowledge about crystals. The Museum of Krystallos was conceived as a centre for exhibitions, gallery, information and documentation about crystals. We provide opportunities for people in different age groups to explore in a relaxing and therapeutic natural environment.
The word “crystal” comes from the Ancient Greek word “krystallos”, which means both “rock crystal” and “ice”. It was believed that clear quartz was water that had frozen so deeply that it would always remain solid. The Museum of Krystallos brings the origin of crystals to viewers, opening a window for audiences to participate in the historic aspects of the exhibition.
The letter "M", "O", "K" are incorporated in the logo with different length and orientations to reflect the unexpected form of natural crystals. The use of different gradient colours is designed to express the crystal's transparent and reflective characteristics. The logo is also meant to be dynamic that can be used for different applications.
The posters are designed to be displayed separately as well as displaying together. When the four posters are combined together, the major logo appears in the middle. The visual elements, typography and overall design are meant to express the characteristics of natural crystals, which is transparent and reflective, the form is unexpected, the edges are hard but the colour is soft.
