The Consumer Finance Institute researches credit and payments to expand our understanding of how they affect consumers and the broader economy. It exists as part of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and brings together research experts from within the Bank, the financial industry, and the general public to produce state-of-the-art research for everyone. As part of an effort to grow awareness of the new institute, an evolution of the previous Payment Cards Center, the Institute received its own identity and logo. This brand exists underneath the parent identity of the Bank and so leverages existing standards, e.g. typography, while creating its own new space, e.g. in its colour, gradients, patterns, not to mention the logo, that allows relevant work produced by the Bank to be seen or "stamped" as Institute content.
