The m-print logo and stationary brands Mitchell Christensen’s academic scholarship design practice. The concept reflects a passion for typography, letterpress printing and Swiss design. The m-print name stems from “Mitchell” and is a phonetic play on the term imprint. The arrow transforms the em-dash into a pencil, a metaphor for the creative process. Macro photography of metal type provides supporting images that reinforce key concepts. Stationary printed offset using PMS-8383 gold, PMS-422 gray and black with custom die cuts derived from the m’s curve. The gold printed first with dry overprinting of gray and black to achieve solid fields of color and crisp type.
