icane is the smart cane designed to assist users who need a second hand to get their destination, especially for those who have vision disorders or suffer from Dementia and Alzheimer’s diseases. icane has the capability to assist users once they set up their favorite or important destinations through their smartphone. The device utilizes AR technology for a special navigation system which detects, analyzes, warns objects on the screen to the users.

The icane and app communicate with each other and synchronize any updates such as favorite destination or history. When in an emergency situation, users can press the icon which will then send an emergency text along with the current location to particular people such as family members or caregivers. The brand identity using dot symbols has not only been inspired by direction, movement, and positivity, but also by the representations of the braille alphabet.

icane give voice assistance for visually impaired. Using voice recognition, icane processes speech to understand and match the user’s destination. It outputs audible alerts to notify users information about their surroundings. These features increase the scope of possibilities ultimately improving lifestyle of the user.
