Local Colors

by Virginia Tech

Local Colors is a non-profit organization that celebrates the ethnic diversity throughout the Roanoke and New River Valleys. Throughout the year, Local Colors organizes workshops, events and their annual Festival of Colors to celebrate each of their 56 represented countries. The brand's mark (featured) focuses on the commonality each country has with one another, a flag which was made from a 5x7 modular grid. The grid can create any of the 56 country's flags, and the flag concept is pushed further through the offset type. Illustrations and bright, vivid colors compliment the branding.
